What forces are leading refugees to seek protection in Europe? How are they being received in the countries they travel to and through? What expectations and rights do refugees have? What is Canada doing? What can we do?
Explore how wrongful convictions occur and the impact they have on the individual, the family and the community by means of a slideshow.
Join us for a conversation about the role of art in re-imagining justice at the University of Ottawa, Fauteux Hall, room 137.
Our public lecture will see Jamie Scott deliver a ‘Restorative Justice 101’ introducing you to the philosophical, theoretical, and practical underpinnings of restorative justice, before longtime restorative justice facilitator, Rev. Dr.Ron Hunt, presents an emotional firsthand account of restorative justice in action as well as it’s applicability to healing damage in not just the criminal context, but the civil context.
We have scheduled a meeting for Wednesday September 30th at 7 p.m. at St. James.
