From the primal elements,
you brought forth the human race,
and blessed us with memory, reason, and skill;
you made us the stewards of creation.
Glory to you forever and ever.
—Eucharistic Prayer 4, BAS pp. 201
Stewardship is an important Christian practice.
All that we have including life itself is a gift from God. In gratitude for all that we have received each of us is called to use wisely the time, talent, and treasure we have been given.
As stewards we develop and use the gifts and talents God has given us and make choices about how to spend our time and our money. We take good care of all that has been entrusted to us by the One who came that we may have abundant life (John 10:10).
Stewardship also includes the faithful offering of our gifts of time, skill and treasure for God’s purposes. It is a partnership with God as we give thanks and share from our abundant blessings.
As part of our calling to be faithful stewards, all parishioners are invited to support the ongoing ministry of St. James Anglican Church, with their time and talent and their financial gifts. Click here to learn about ways you can give financially.
