St. James' Anglican Church Kingston

Growing in Faith
“Jesus matured in wisdom and years, and in favor with God and with people.”
–Luke 2:52 (CEB)

St James is committed to helping people of all ages to learn and grow as life-long followers of Jesus. Whether it is our Sunday morning children and nursery programs, Friday night youth group, or special events and activities such as the Christmas pageant and preparation for confirmation; ministry with children, youth and their families is a top priority at St James.

Supported by our part-time Children & Youth Ministries Coordinator, adult volunteer leaders and student interns help our children and youth to grow in faith.
From the primal elements,
you brought forth the human race,
and blessed us with memory, reason, and skill;
you made us the stewards of creation.
Glory to you forever and ever.
—Eucharistic Prayer 4, BAS pp. 201
Stewardship is an important Christian Practice
All that we have including life itself is a gift from God. In gratitude for all that we have received each of us is called to use wisely the time, talent, and treasure we have been given.

As stewards we develop and use the gifts and talents God has given us and make choices about how to spend our time and our money. We take good care of all that has been entrusted to us by the One who came that we may have abundant life (John 10:10).

Stewardship also includes the faithful offering of our gifts of time, skill and treasure for God’s purposes. It is a partnership with God as we give thanks and share from our abundant blessings.

As part of our calling to be faithful stewards, all parishioners are invited to support the ongoing ministry of St. James Anglican Church, with their time and talent and their financial gifts.
